We test all best our vintage jewelry for karat content as well as gem testing when applicable. We use the Niton DXL Precious Metal Analyzer for metal purity and for gem testing we use the Presidium gem tester. We tend to leave most jewelry as we receive it as we do not want to risk damage to anything we are selling. We also advise our buyers to fully clean any jewelry they buy from us. Some items will need a very good deep cleaning. It will look amazing once it is professionally cleaned.
