The painted image is best treated with several coats of a UV protector to help keep the colors bright fresh looking. I use professional quality acrylic paints. Entirely handcrafted with much care by myself. The fox stone is offset on top and bottom by two attached strips of hemlock wood and two sections of natural sisal rope. The wood has been sanded only enough to knock off the roughest spots; the raised grain and any knotholes were left intact. I rounded the edges of the wood to give it an old, worn look. Designed to look totally natural and rustic. The fox stone measures 4 1/2" wide and 3" high. The wood slab measures about 4 1/2" x 8" and is almost an 1" thick. It comes ready to hang with an attached leather string.
