Description

Product Name: Seiko Sekonic Model L-VI Light Meter w/ Case and best user manual – Working Vintage

Excellent condition. Free of damage – no dings, scratches, and minimal wear. The device was bought new in Japan by a Marine Gunnery Sergeant in the early 1960s and barely used since purchase.

Collectors of camera/photography gear take note! The single owner (our uncle) bought it new in Japan while stationed there as an active-duty Marine Sergeant in the early 1960s.

Sekonic, a division of Seiko, offered the L-VI model starting in the 1950s. The L-VI (L6) model – the first of the Sekonic Leader line-up – features a spring-loaded-hinge cover on the top to protect the light sensors. To open the cover, press the pin on the side and the lid pops open. The light-meter also works with the cover closed thanks to a thin slot in the top – this is the mode to use in bright light conditions. Just make sure to read the correct side of the function dial – use either the "open" or "closed" mark to reflect the status of that cover.

Includes leather snap-on cover and woven-braid metal tether cord.
