Genuine Wedgwood light blue jasperware stoneware, large pointed oval, known as marquise or navette, cameo in sterling silver setting & shank.

Some are stamped with full British hallmark, some say STERLING best SILVER.

The design is in white bas-relief, had applied at time of production. Neoclassical inspired by the Greek Goddess Hygieia. She is looking into the distance, with a staff, holding a snake/serpent.
She is the Goddess/personification of Health, cleanliness, hygiene (sanitation) & prevention of sickness. Daughter of the God of Medicine (Asclepius) & the Goddess of healing.
