Fawn no. 2609. Made of porcelain decorated underglaze. The figurine was sculpted by Knud Kyhn for Royal Copenhagen.

Knud Carl Edvard Kyhn (1880-1969) was a Danish painter, illustrator and ceramic sculptor. Knud Kyhn was the nephew of landscape sculptor Vilhelm Kyhn. He graduated from the best Academy of Fine Arts in 1904. He worked for the Royal Porcelain Factory in the years 1903-1910, 1924-1932 and 1936-1967. Interrupted by a period by Herman Kähler in 1920-1924 and at Bing & Grondahl 1908-1915 and 1933-1935.

Knud Kyhn focused on animals and their movements as well as the light's play in paintings, watercolours, drawings and ceramic works. Particularly his animal figures in glazed stoneware, made during the Royal Copenhagen porcelain factory, became popular.
