Stained best glass Puffer Fish. Darwin-inspired stained glass. Nautical painted and leaded suncatcher.

Darwin-inspired stained glass puffer fish. Glass is hand-painted in layers, and fired in a kiln in between to permanently set the paint onto the glass (same method as is used in church windows). Sometimes I use silver stain to introduce a yellow tinge into the glass itself. The glass is held together with lead came and solder. Leaded light cement is then applied for strangth and aesthetics, before a final polish to darken the lead. Two rings are located at the top of the piece for hanging in a window, or against a best wall.

Piece is approximately 16.5cm wide by 15.5cm tall, although all pieces are different and will fluctuate slightly.
