Custom Commissioned Pet Portrait (Single) - Hand-Painted Gouache best Illustration

I've always loved animals as much as I love painting but didn't combine those loves until after I adopted Bowser. For one reason or another, our best boy cannot *handle* having his picture taken. (Please note his angst in one of the pictures I attempted to take for scale.)

During an out-of-character event, I was able to capture Bowser in full birthday regalia, but the quality of the picture was terrible! Although I cherished the picture, I wanted something that actually reflected the joy best he brings to my life. So, I illustrated the picture in gouache, and here we are!

Having such a playful and colorful portrait in our house puts a smile on my face every day. I'd love to create a custom portrait of your best friend!

I work primarily in gouache, which allows for your non-human pals to be illustrated in a vibrant and impactful way. Gouache dries with a velvety, matte texture that looks striking when framed under glass.
