Antique best French linen smock/dress

I so love these antique smocks !!
A medium/heavy best weight linen makes up this really useful smock
It has been dyed a lovely shade of grey that I like to call ‘pewter or antique grey' It is a really warm shade.
There is a cotton collar which is very fractionally lighter in colour
A bib insert forms part of the opening which fastens with 2 little buttons. The front of the smock falls nicely from here . The long sleeves also have a button fastening. The gathered back hangs directly from the collar There are reinforcing inserts on the shoulders and the underarms. These smocks were originally made for working in so had to be very hard wearing !!
This particular one shows no sign of wear a all and is in excellent condition.
Size I would say is small ( which is unusual ) with a back length of 10cms/39ins at the back. Side splits make it 13cms/5.1ins shorter at the front.
Would look great over denim or leggings and you will get a lot of wear from this garment

Comes in excellent freshly laundered condition
