This is the Arabesco Bird Pattern, one of the most popular patterns created in Deruta during the 17th Century. A vibrant palette of Italian florals surround the main ornamentation of Arabesco – the Whimsical Bird. The bowls are 7 inches in diameter and 2 1/2 inches tall; very generously sized bowls that would work for pasta, grain bowls, soup, etc. The bird in each bowl is either yellow or green (see pictures).
